Naughton debuts but Spurs slip up
Tottenham gave a run-out to new signing Kyle Naughton as a young and inexperienced side suffered a 3-1 defeat against Aldershot at The Rec.

First-team goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes and right-back Alan Hutton were also included but could not prevent Danny Hylton giving the hosts a third-minute lead.

Ben Alnwick replaced Gomes at half-time and Naughton also came on and it was the defender, signed from Sheffield United earlier in the day, who provided the 74th-minute cross from which Danny Rose headed in.

However, in the last eight minutes Reece Connolly and Adam Hinshelwood added late goals to secure victory for the hosts.
